It’s also a very good idea to try and learn to develop an ear for how Spanish words should sound; written words can’t really convey how a word should sound on the tongue so listen to Spanish music or watch Spanish TV to get a handle on how the language should sound.

You should also practice speaking as much as possible; memorizing flash cards is all well and good but just doing that won’t help you become a fluent speaker.

The best thing you can do to learn how to speak Spanish, however, is be consistent in your study schedule; slacking off will actually make it more difficult to retain information. These things are all good ways of learning how to speak Spanish quicker!
